DESCRIPTION
The Compliance Management 37301 Foundation course is a course based on the ISO 37301 standard. The course follows a real-world adapted case-study approach, so students can be better prepared to apply the concepts of this ISO Compliance Management standard in a real-world scenario. This course prepares the students to support the establishment and operation of a Compliance Management System (CMS) based on ISO 37301 and provides them the fundamental knowledge on the audit concepts, principles and best practices based on ISO 19011.
In this course, the students will acquire the fundamental knowledge to establish and operate a Compliance Management System (CMS) based on the ISO 37301:2021 standard.
The course covers the fundamental concepts related to compliance management, an overview clause-by-clause of the ISO 37301 standard with high-level implementation guidance and discussion-based practical examples to implement the requirements of the standard. The course also covers best practices for the implementation of the requirements based on the guidance provided by the standard, and other applicable compliance management guidance.
Through the course, it will also be covered the brief overview of the previous ISO 19600:2014, and the main differences to the ISO 37301:2021 standard.
As the students advance through the subjects of course, they will be presented with the main supporting and related standards of the ISO 37301 family, this includes, but not only, the guidance for the use of ISO 37301 (included in the standard itself), and an overview of the remaining ISO 37000 family related standards, such as, the guidance for governance of organizations (ISO 37000), including, the maturity model (ISO 37004) and indicators for effective governance (ISO 37005), the guidelines for whistleblowing (ISO 37002), and the relationship with the complementary standard for anti-bribery (ISO 37001). The course also provides an overview of the ISO 31000 standard and how it can be used to assess compliance risks.
These standards provide guidance and support for (and are related with) the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of an ISO 37301 Compliance Management System, and are “critical tools” for organizations looking to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical standards within their business context.
This course also provides an overview of other non-family governance and compliance management related best practices, legislation, and regulation (national and international). In the last module, the course covers an overview of the main concepts, principles, and best practices for auditing an CMS based on the guidance of ISO 19011
Training materials updated with the last released editions of all the related best practices, including any related draft published.
