Many organisations recognise the criticality of continuity, but start without a consistent foundation of concepts and terminology and an understanding of the structure and requirements of ISO 22301.

Introduction
The ISO 22301 Essentials course is based on the international standard ISO 22301 and provides the knowledge required for professionals from any area to know and understand the
concepts, terms and definitions related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
The course covers the structure of ISO 22301 and the topics associated with its clauses, enabling participants to begin applying the standard’s practices in their organisational context or in support of third-party organisations.
During the training, a summary of the most relevant standards from the ISO 22300 family is presented, including their relationship with ISO 22301 and their applicability within the context of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS).
This course prepares participants for the Business Continuity 22301 Essentials personal certification.

General Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and use essential knowledge (concepts, terms and definitions) of business continuity and ISO 22301.
- Understand and apply essential concepts related to management systems.
- Understand the structure of ISO 22301 and identify its various clauses.
- Know and select ISO 22300 family standards suitable to support the implementation and operation of a BCMS based on ISO 22301.
- Identify other international business continuity practices that can be used together with ISO 22301.
- Contextualise within the organisation the requirements and topics contained in ISO 22301 clauses, including the processes and plans required for continuity.
- Have the knowledge required to successfully take the “Business Continuity 22301 Essentials” certification exam.

Exam(s) and Certification
Exam “Certified Business Continuity 22301 Essentials”
The exam covers the following competence domains:
- Domain 1: Concepts of business continuity and management systems
- Domain 2: ISO 22300 family, requirements and applicability of ISO 22301
Language(s): Portuguese and English.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Format: Multiple-choice.
Passing score: 120/200 points.
Results: “Pass or Fail”.
Retake: 1 free retake within a maximum period of 2 months after the initial exam result.
Certification
After successfully completing the exam and signing the agreement/Code of Ethics, the candidate is awarded the Certified Business Continuity 22301 Essentials credential.
A Certificate and a Digital Certification Badge (i.e., “badge”) will be issued to participants who successfully complete the certification exam and meet all requirements for the certification they apply for.
The “Certified Cybersecurity Professional” personal certification programme was designed and is maintained in accordance with the ISO/IEC 17024 standard.
Certification programmes are valid only for individuals (not companies), and certification and maintenance depend on the exam result, professional experience, and commitment to and compliance with the agreement/code of ethics. If the professional does not comply with the agreement/code of ethics, certification is not granted or is revoked.

- Behaviour digital Training Attendance Certificate with 7 CPD/CPE credits.
- Online Certification Exam in Portuguese or English. The exam may be taken up to 2 months from the course start date.
- If the candidate does not pass the exam, they are entitled to one free retake within a maximum period of 2 months from the date the initial exam score is released.
- Digital Certification Diploma and Digital Certification Badge after passing the exam and completing the application process. This process has no associated cost.
