This Data Retention Policy explains how long BEHAVIOUR® keeps personal data and reinforces our commitment to protecting privacy, in line with the GDPR.
The protection of the right to privacy, including personal data, is one of our commitments.
With the entry into force of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), on May 25th 2018, our commitment is reinforced and more transparent to our customers, allowing them to have a greater awareness and control over the personal data provided to BEHAVIOUR® and how they are handled.
We apply privacy by design, limit access on a need-to-know basis, and implement technical and organisational measures to safeguard confidentiality, integrity and availability throughout collection, use, storage and disposal processes.
How long we keep the data?
All data obtained by BEHAVIOUR are stored only for the period of time necessary to fulfil the purpose set for them, in accordance with this data retention policy. After this period, the data are irreversibly deleted, leaving only the necessary legal and contractual data.
Data Retention Policy
- Training/course-related data (pedagogical and assessment process) are kept for 2 years after completion of the technical-pedagogical process.
- Exam-related data (exam process) are kept for 2 years after the exam has taken place and the respective process has been closed.
- Certification-related data (certification process) are kept for the duration of the certification relationship and for 4 years after the certification becomes inactive (expiry, withdrawal, or non-renewal) and the file is closed.
- Recertification-related data (recertification process) are kept for the duration of the certification relationship and for 7 years after the certification becomes inactive (expiry, withdrawal, or non-renewal) and the file is closed.
Updated on 30 January 2026 – retention periods extended by 1 year, effective immediately.
