Complete this form to request the transition of an existing Behaviour certification to a new edition of the standard or body of knowledge.

You may submit your request before completing the update training or taking the corresponding examination. Behaviour Certification Services (BCS) will review your circumstances and advise you of the applicable transition pathway.

To complete the transition, your certification must be valid, and you must complete the required Behaviour update training, pass the applicable examination and formalise your transition application.

If your certification has expired, the reinstatement process applies and must be completed in full within six months of the expiry date, including any requirements for updating to the new edition. After this deadline, reinstatement is no longer possible.

Identify the certification you wish to update and indicate whether you have already completed the Behaviour update training and taken the corresponding examination.

Following a review of your request, you will receive an email explaining how your application will be handled, the requirements to be met and the applicable conditions.

This form is intended for updating certifications issued by Behaviour. At this stage, you do not need to submit the full application documentation.

The applicable fee depends on the status of your certification and the version of the body of knowledge associated with the examination you passed to obtain your certification.

Valid certification based on a previous version

Recertification requires:

Updating your knowledge through the Behaviour training specified for this purpose — Transition, Foundation or other applicable training;
Passing the examination currently in force;
Meeting the remaining recertification requirements.

The recertification process fee is included in the cost of the training and examination pathway.

Certification expired less than six months ago and based on a previous version

Recertification requires:

Certification expired more than six months ago

The certification can no longer be reinstated through a recertification process. Therefore, no invoice for recertification fees will be issued.

To obtain certification again, you must initiate a new process and meet the requirements currently in force, including the Behaviour training corresponding to the examination and certification you wish to obtain.

The recertification process fee is included in the cost of the training and examination pathway.
