Why this course exists
To plan and conduct effective internal audits, with a focus on evidence, a risk-based approach and continuous improvement, in accordance with ISO 19011.
Effective internal audits are an essential requirement of ISO management systems. ISO 19011:2018 establishes guidelines for auditing management systems, including the risk-based approach in planning, execution and reporting.
This course provides a practical and integrated perspective on internal auditing, strengthening competences to plan audit programmes, conduct audits and produce reports with traceable findings that create value for management.

The ISO 19011 Internal Lead Auditor course deepens the ISO 19011 guidelines for auditing management systems, with a focus on planning, audit techniques, evidence collection and validation, and reporting of findings. The approach includes practical work and application to real contexts, including integrated audits and risk-based auditing.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Plan audit programmes and audits using a risk-based approach.

- Prepare reports with clear findings, supported by evidence, and recommendations oriented towards improvement.
- Conduct integrated audits of multiple management systems, where applicable.

Exam “Certified ISO 19011 Internal Lead Auditor”
- Domain 1: Fundamental audit concepts, principles and terminology
- Domain 2: ISO 19011 guidelines and risk-based auditing
- Domain 3: Audit programme planning and management
- Domain 4: Audit preparation, evidence, sampling and traceability
- Domain 5: Conducting internal audits and communicating with auditees
- Domain 6: Findings, nonconformities, reporting, follow-up and improvement
Language(s): English and Portuguese (please consult BEHAVIOUR for availability in other languages).
Duration: 3 hours.
Exam type: one case study with 10 open questions.
Number of questions: 10.
Pass mark: 105/150 points.
Results: Pass or Fail, with quantitative assessment.
Issuing entity: Behaviour (legal entity), through its certification service Behaviour Certification Services.
Retake: 1 free retake within a maximum period of 2 months from the result date of the initial exam.
Certification
After successfully completing the exam and accepting or signing the applicable agreement and Code of Ethics, the candidate achieves the credential Certified ISO 19011 Internal Lead Auditor.
A Certificate and a Digital Certification Badge will be issued to participants who successfully complete the certification exam and satisfy all requirements of the certification for which they are applying. The certification is issued by Behaviour (legal entity), through its certification service Behaviour Certification Services.
The personal certification programme Certified ISO 19011 Internal Lead Auditor is developed and maintained in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17024.
Certification programmes are valid only for individuals (not companies), and the award and maintenance of certification depend on the exam result, professional experience and compliance with the applicable agreement / Code of Ethics.
If the professional does not comply with the agreement / Code of Ethics, the certification is not granted or is revoked.

- Online materials available in Portuguese and English, with online access, in accordance with the awarded conditions.
- Behaviour digital Training Attendance Certificate with 40 CPD/CPE credits.
- Online Certification Exam, in Portuguese or English. The exam may be taken up to 2 months from the course start date.
- If the candidate does not pass the exam, they are entitled to one free retake within a maximum period of 2 months from the release date of the initial exam result.
- Digital Certification Diploma and Digital Certification Badge after passing the exam and completing the application process. This registration has no associated cost.
