This five-day exam preparation course deals with the security concepts to be mastered in order to obtain the CCSP® certification. In an accelerated but rigorous manner, this training prepares the student for the examination, covering the entirety of the Common Body of Knowledge (CBK) about cloud security. The CBK covers the domains: Cloud Concepts, Architecture and Design, Cloud Data Security, Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security, Cloud Application Security, Cloud Security Operations and Legal, Risk and Compliance.

The CCSP certification meets the meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8570.1.

Methodology

In this certification preparation course, participants will review the main concepts of cloud security according to the domains of the certification, consolidate their knowledge through exam simulation questions and at the end of the course (optional), realize a simulation exam in order to assess their level of knowledge and the amount of effort needed to be aligned and perform successfully the CCSP® certification exam.
This course is available to be delivered in a > Live Online Training < model and classroom.

After completing this course you should be able to:

• Identify and understand the key cloud computing concepts and terminology, and associated definitions related to cloud technology.
• Understand the cloud reference architecture and the security concepts relevant to cloud computing; the design principles of secure cloud computing and the requirements to evaluate cloud service providers.
• Identify and describe the main cloud data concepts and understand the requirements to design and implement cloud data storage architectures; understand the process to design and implement data security technologies and strategies, data discovery, data classification and the implementation of Information Rights Management in the cloud context.
• Plan for data retention, deletion, and archiving, and know how to audit, trace and account for cloud-based data events.
• Comprehend the cloud infrastructure and platform components, including the design of secure data centers, the risks associated with the cloud, and the required security controls.
• Plan for business continuity and disaster recovery of the (and, using the) cloud infrastructure.
• Gain an understanding of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC), the requirements for awareness and training, the software assurance, and the verification process.
• Identify the specifics of cloud application architecture and understand the requirements for IAM solutions.
• Understand how to build, implement, operate, and maintain a physical and logical cloud infrastructure, and the main operational controls and standards for cloud security.
• Identify and understand the legal frameworks and guidelines that affect cloud services, and the fundamentals of privacy regulatory/legislative mandates.
• To assess and manage risks, vulnerability, threats, and attacks in the cloud environment and understand the implication to enterprise risk management.
• Understand the cloud audit process, outsourcing and cloud contract requirements.
• To establish a common terminology for use within your team or workgroup.
• To build a business case for cloud adoption and determine business units that benefit from cloud migration strategies.
• Be prepared for the CCSP® Certification exam based on the latest CBK.

Exam

• CCSP® exam is not included in the course price.
• Exams are available on-site. Schedule your exam directly on the (ISC)2 website.
• CCSP® certification exam is based on a multiple-choice exam consisting of 150 multiple choice questions with 4 choices each, about the domains of the CBK – Length: 4 hours. The passing mark is 70%.
• For achieve the Certification, candidates must pass the CCSP® exam and fulfill the remaining (ISC)2 requirements, which are available online.
